Healthy Mind Project is an initiative that supports people with or at risk of mental health problems. The project looks at community development work as a holistic approach, supported by our other projects and consider mental well being is one of the important element in the community development.
Seminars and awareness sessions and training are held from time to time where service providers are invited to talk about the functions and provision of mental health services in the NHS.
Meeting the service providers enables us to discuss and share the barriers experienced by the community when engaging with the mainstream mental health services. It promotes multi-racial understanding, community interaction and the mental wellbeing of the community in Kingston.
The weekly Activity Centre run by the project on every Mondays at Queens Mary Hall Cambridge gardens, New Malden, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT1 3NJ provides a wide range of activities to enrich the life experiences of people affected by mental health issues.
